Infant and Toddlers

  • Lead Infant Teacher

    Ms. Darian has been employed at CLC since February, 2018. During her time as a Teacher, she has primarily worked with Infants and Toddlers. She is our Lead Infant Room Teacher. She helps create a fun and engaging learning environment to help the infants grow and develop at their own pace!

  • Lead Infant Teacher

    Ms. Dylann has been employed at CLC since March of 2023. She is our Lead Infant/ Toddler Transition teacher and has previous experience working with infants. Currently, Dylann is a student and works full time at CLC with our older infants and younger toddlers in order to help them adjust to the toddler schedule.

  • Lead Toddler Teacher

    Mr. Logan has been employed at CLC since November, 2019. He started at CLC as our cook, but moved into a teaching position in the Spring of 2022. He is working on his CDA in Infant - Toddler Development!

  • Assistant Toddler Teacher

    Ms. Abi started working at CLC in December of 2022. She is currently a student and works full time in our Toddler class. Abi previously worked at another childcare with toddlers. Item description

    Ms. Holly has been working at CLC since September 2023. She is a student at KU. Her niece and nephew attend CLC.

Little Learners and Early Learners

  • Lead Early Learner 1 Teacher & Assistant Director

    Ms. Carolyn has been employed at CLC since August, 2021. She developed an interest in early childhood education after her daughter was born. She ha completed her CDA in Infant and Toddler Development! Her daughter is enrolled at CLC in our Preschool Class.

  • Assistant EL1 Teacher

    Ms. Audra has been part of the teaching staff at Children’s Learning Center since August of 2023. She has previous experience working with toddler age children. Currently, she is a student at KU studying Psychology.

  • Assistant EL1 Teacher

    Ms. Caitlynn has worked at CLC since January, 2023. She came to us with previous experience working with toddlers and preschoolers. She is very patient and nurturing with the children in our program.

  • Co-Lead Early Learner 2 Teacher

    Ms. Stephanie has been employed at CLC since August, 2021. She has her Associate of Art in Business and has taken education classes. She is also working towards her CDA in Infant and Toddler Development! She also has a daughter who attends CLC in our K-Prep class.

  • Co-Lead Early Learner 2 Teacher

    Ms. Tori is our Assistant Infant/ Toddler Transition teacher. She has worked at CLC since March, 2023. Ms. Tori has her Bachelors degree is Psychology. Her previous experience includes working for the City and Boys and Girls Club.

  • Assistant Part Time Teacher

    Ms. Helen started working at CLC in January of 20234. She is currently a student at KU.

Early Preschool & Preschool

  • Lead Early Preschool Teacher

    Ms. Lauren has worked at CLC since February of 2023. Previously, she worked as a paraeducator and Head Start Teacher. In 2018, she received her Early Childhood Unified Degree from Fort Hays State University. Lauren is very patient and demonstrates this outside of CLC by also working a part time job with adults who have special needs.

    In addition to working with our PreK students, Lauren has taken over our Teacher Recognition Committee where she plans ways to celebrate teachers birthdays, anniversaries and accomplishments!

  • Assistant Early Preschool Teacher

    Ms. Katie has been working at CLC since August 2023. Katie has previous experience working in the early education field. She is a student at KU studying Psychology with a Minor in Applied Behavioral Sciences.

  • Lead Preschool Teacher

    Ms. Katie has worked at CLC since the Fall of 2022. During her time with us, she has primarily worked with our 1 - 2 year olds. She is currently our Lead Early Preschool teacher. She has a son who is currently enrolled in our Early Preschool transition class.

  • Ms. Chelsea has been working at Children’s Learning Center since August of 2023. She has previous experience working with children in the Early Education environment. In addition, she is a student at KU studying Early Childhood Education. She works at CLC and CLC South.

Pre-K, KPrep 1 & KPrep 2(Kindergarten)

  • Lead PreK Teacher

    Ms. Sheila has been a Teacher at CLC since May, 2017. She has worked in almost every classroom at CLC but decided that the 3-4 year olds are her favorite! She has been trained in the Learning Without Tears Language and Literacy training and incorporates it into her lesson plans! She is also working towards her Child Development Associate focusing on Preschool Development! Ms. Sheila is our Head Teacher and helps with a variety of tasks around the school including management responsibilities.

  • Assistant Teacher

    Ms. Ashley has been employed at CLC since April, 2022. She has previous experience working with children in an early education environment. Ashely is a college student at Washburn.

  • Co-Lead KPrep Teacher

    Ms. Rachel has been employed at CLC since August, 2020. She has over 17 years of teaching experience in licensed childcare facilities. While she has taught infants - 5 year olds, the KPrep class is her niche. She earned her Child Development Associate in the area of Preschool Development in 2015. In addition, she has taken college level Early Childhood courses from Highland Community College. She has a daughter who is in 4rd Grade!

    Ms. Amy has worked at CLC since July, 2021. During this time, she has worked with all classes at CLC. In May of 2023 she earned her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.

  • Lead KPrep2/ Kindergarten Teacher

    Ms. Jessica has worked at Children’s Learning Center since August, 2020. She graduated from Emporia State University in 2004 with her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. For the past 14 years, she taught a private Kindergarten class. When we do not have Kindergarten enrollment, she runs our KPrep 2 curriculum. She lives in Topeka, KS with her husband and two sons.

  • Lead Assistant Teacher

    Ms. Claire has been employed at CLC since September, 2021. She previously was a co-owner of a childcare. She has amazing interactions and plans creative activities with the children to help them engage in communication and build foundational skills for later education.

Kitchen & Support Staff

  • Cook & Photographer

    Ms. Mekea has been employed at CLC since March, 2020. She started at CLC as a substitute teacher. In the Spring of 2022, we were searching for a new cook, and Mekea seamlessly transitioned into the role. She loves creating new, healthy meals and serving the children and teachers at the school. She has also started doing ‘Kea Cooks’ with some of the older classes! Mekea is also a professional photographer and takes our Spring and Fall school pictures!

  • Kitchen Aide

    Ms. Sheila has worked at CLC since August, 2002. She works in the kitchen as an aide helping prepare lunch carts and wash dishes.

  • Therapy Dog

    PJ was born October, 2017. She joined CeCe’s family in January, 2018. She immediately started training to work as a Therapy Dog in the preschool programs. She completed her Therapy Dog Training Classes in 2019 right before she had a litter of ten puppies! She is a hypoallergenic Golden Doodle who brings a smile to everyone’s day.

    Ms. Christina has been employed at CLC since April, 2010. She has amazing interactions with children of all ages and can work with any age group. She loves to sing with the children and do art projects!

  • Assistant Teacher

    Ms. Mandy has been employed at CLC since January of 2023. She is currently a student at JCCC and works part time in our infant room.

  • Part Time Float

    Ms. Katie started volunteering at CLC in August, 2020. She began as a tutor in our temporary school age program. When the program ended in March, 2021, she was hired on as a part time aide. Ms. Katie plays both high school and competitive softball which makes her availability very limited. She has amazing interactions with the children when her schedule allows her to work at the school.
