CeCe Courter- Executive Director
CLC & CLC South
CeCe has been the Executive Director at Children’s Learning Center since October, 2018. In 2000, CeCe accepted her first position as Director at a childcare and has been directing in Early Childhood Education Programs ever since.
CeCe received her Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education in 2004 from Washburn University. In 2011, she completed her Masters in Education Curriculum and Instruction emphasizing in Education Tech. from Washburn University.
In January of 2023, she completed her National Director Credential and a pilot program in Early Childhood Developmental Disability through Kansas LEND. Previously, she taught online child development classes for Washburn and Highland students in addition to Directing.
CeCe has two children— Katie and Taggert who are both young adults. She also has a Therapy Dog named PJ who works with the children at CLC.
Tara Moore - Program Director
CLC
Tara has been employed at CLC since May, 2018. Initially, she started as a Teacher in the Toddler Classroom. When the position of Program Director became available, she was promoted.
Tara received her Bachelors of Science from Iowa State University in 2017. Her degree is in Child, Adult, and Family Services with emphases in Children, Youth and Family & Adulthood. She has been working in the Early Childhood Education field since 2015. In early 2024, Tara completed her National Director’s Credential. She started a Masters program at KU studying Early Childhood Unified starting in August of 2024.
Tara and her husband, Nate, moved from Ames, Iowa to Lawrence in May, 2018. Their two children are enrolled in the KPrep2 and Preschool classes at CLC.
Carolyn Victor- Assistant Director
CLC
Ms. Carolyn has been employed at CLC since August 2021. When she began at CLC, she started as an Assistant Teacher in the Early Head Start classroom and quickly rose to the Co-Teacher position. Currently, Carolyn holds the role of Assistant Director.
In September of 2023, Carolyn completed her Child Development Associates in Infant and Toddler Development! This achievement includes 120 training hours in Early Childhood Education, portfolio review, assessment and classroom observation. Ms. Carolyn also completed a Child Passenger Safety Technician class so she is now a certified in install car seats. This is a service she would provide privately, and not through CLC. Ms. Carolyn is also completed a certification in early childhood development disability through the LEND program in the Spring of 2025.
Ms. Carolyn has a daughter who is enrolled at CLC in our PreK Class.
Adura Webster - Program Director, CLC South
Ms. Audra has been employed at CLC since August 2023. Prior to stepping into her current role as Program Director at CLC South, she taught in early childhood classrooms for about two years and has over seven years of total experience working with young children.
In May of 2025, Audra graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work with the goal of continuing to support and advocate for children and families in both educational and community-based settings.
Originally from Wichita, Audra moved to Lawrence in 2021 to continue her education and quickly found a home in the community. Outside of work, Audra enjoys paddleboarding, reading, and hanging out with her golden retriever, JJ.
